Earlier this year the Cambridge City Council passed a residential zoning addendum that establishes a new base zoning height for residential neighborhoods of 45’, up from the prior 35’. This addendum is aimed to support housing supply in the 7 sq mi city.

Progress at 252 Lexington Ave Fresh Pond is currently paused pending approval from the Planning Board of an additional 4th floor unit. Below are some photos are the project so far.

Concrete slab was poured yesterday and Framing begins today. Progress continues on our six-unit condo project. During our rough framing inspection, we caught that while the 2nd-floor shower wall was properly reinforced for the future shower glass installation, the 3rd-floor area was lacking the same extra support. The additional 2x4 between the existing studs gives the shower glass a more secure attachment than just the blueboard. The 3rd floor shower has since been reinforced.
