During our rough framing inspection, we caught that while the 2nd-floor shower wall was properly reinforced for the future shower glass installation, the 3rd-floor area was lacking the same extra support. The additional 2×4 between the existing studs gives the shower glass a more secure attachment than just the blueboard. The 3rd floor shower has since been reinforced.
